This Privacy Policy, herein referred to as “the policy,” is meant to help you (the Subscriber, or alternatively an emergency contact) be familiar with how Red Dot Alerts (“our,” “we” or “us”) collects, uses and discloses all personal data.

We respect your privacy and value our relationship with you. Your personal information will be protected and never sold, and unless otherwise specified, only used by Red Dot Alerts™, our affiliates, dealers/retailers, and service suppliers to provide service.

This policy applies to all personal data collected through interactions with Red Dot Alerts™, including but not limited to the purchase and use of our products/services, marketing communications, customer support and emergency contact. Personal data refers to identifying information about you, either directly or in combination with other information, as well as banking and contact details. Red Dot Alerts™ protects your personal information to ensure it is safe from theft, loss, unauthorized access, copying, use and other modifications. We care about your information just as much as we care about keeping you safe.

Personal data can be defined as anything that might identify you or your lifestyle, including location information when GPS-enabled devices are actively being used as either personal emergency response or personal event notification equipment.

Red Dot Alerts™ collects a variety of personal data from Subscribers. Personal data is collected for account creation and maintenance, purchasing, product tester data, promotional communications data, customer service data; device information, geolocation data and online feedback. Personal data might be collected from you by means of phone call, mail, email correspondence, standardized purchasing forms or signals emitted and relays to servers from assistive devices.

Red Dot Alerts™ may disclose your personal data in the following instances:

  • To our affiliates for the purposes as described in this policy;
  • To third party providers who provide website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, order fulfillment, customer service, CRM, marketing intelligence, auditing, fraud detection and other services;
  • To caregivers and service providers authorized by the account holder for location-sharing;
  • Third-party sponsors of contests or similar promotions.

We also may use and disclose your data when we believe it is necessary or required by law including laws outside the province you reside in. Government or authorities might request such information from us, and we will cooperate with law enforcement or other legal authorities for a variety of reasons. In the event of any internal reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, transfer or other disposition of our business, we may disclose or transfer your information to a third party, and Red Dot Alerts™ retains the right to do so.

This policy does not address, nor Red Dot Alerts™ cannot be responsible or endorse, the way any third parties use or distribute any of your information. We are not responsible for the information collection, use, disclosure or privacy policies and practices of other organizations, operating system provider, cellular service provider or manufacturer. Red Dot Alerts™ encourages you to seek out the policies of these third parties in the event you wish to learn more about how your information is protected.

Red Dot Alerts™ uses reasonable organizations, administrative, and technical measures to protect your personal information. If you believe your data is being shared by means not outlined in this policy or is not secure, please contact us immediately.

We retain personal data for as long as it is necessary considering the purpose it was retained. This length is reflected in the length you are a Subscriber of Red Dot Alerts™ and any legal obligations we might have to store your records.
Data access is protected by an account authentication process. Only the account holder who knows the account credentials can access account data. Other users cannot access your location data unless you have opted into location sharing.

If at any time you or an emergency contact wants to request access, rectify, erase or restrict your data that was previously provided to Red Dot Alerts™, you may contact us. In your request, please always make clear what personal data needs to be changed or what limitations you request. Red Dot Alerts™ will only modify personal data upon the verification of your identity, and we retain the right to refuse access to personal data if we believe for any reason the wrong person is trying to access it. Certain opt-outs of promotional materials are available during said promotions. Opt-out requests will be complied with as soon as reasonably possible for Red Dot Alerts™. Such requests should be made in writing to our service team.

Red Dot Alerts™ may be assisting children and those under 18 years of age. In those cases, we will comply with applicable law to receive parental or guardianship permission before collecting, using or disclosing the personal information of children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has provided us information without their consent, please contact us immediately.
